Central Pines Regional Council, in collaboration with NC Emergency Management, is offering a FREE training on FEMA’s Public Assistance. Come learn how to effecticely leverage federal and state resources to reduce the burden on your community in times of need!

Public Assistance can be a complicated grant program, but provides crucial funding to help your community recover from disasters. The State of North Carolina has recognized this and is prioritizing efforts to build disaster recovery capacity among local governments, particularly as it relates to the management of recovery funds. The General Assembly provided a grant to the North Carolina Association of Regional Councils of Governments to provide financial training and conduct activities to build regional and local capacity.

This training is open to all town and county staff and will be hosted in-person at Central Pines Regional Council's office in Research Triangle Park. Any and all staff are welcome to attend, but we particulary encourage those involved in managing PA funds to attend, including financial managers, public works staff, and those in emergency services. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please email Langston Alexander at lalexander@centralpinesnc.gov with any dietary restrictions or questions.
