Professional Experience

Joined Triangle J in 2004 and has worked as the Aging Program Administrator, Aging Program Coordinator and the Assistant Director of the Area Agency on Aging. Previously employed 13 years as Director of Adult Day Services for the Council For Senior Citizens in Durham (now Durham Center for Senior Life), operating two adult day centers. Has over 10 years experience in area long-term care facilities in various positions (director of social services, admissions, activities, etc.), and has worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities, including autism.  She is a member of the board of the Durham County Friends of RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) and is a former chairperson.  Mary is an active member of the NC Association of Area Agencies on Aging, the NC Association on Aging and the NC Adult Day Services Association, as well as several national organizations.
