Local Food Infrastructure

The North Carolina Growing Together project, in collaboration with regional Councils of Government, cities and counties, and NC State Cooperative Extensions from across the state, has created a mapped inventory of businesses that serve as intermediaries in local food supply chains such as value-added processors, fresh produce wholesalers/distributors, multi-farm CSA's and more.

The map was designed to support market development for producers and others in the local food supply chain. The inventory supports the work of NCGT’s Local Food Economies initiative, a program that works with local and regional governments and business developers to provide supportive business environments for farms and food businesses.

Local governments can explore the map here and filter by county or district.
